Kulgam Operation: Single Militant Neutralized in Kashmir’s Second Major Encounter this Week

The killing of a militant by cops in the Akhal jungle in a Kulgam area drastically altered are now unstable safety situation in Jammu & Kashmir. The identity of the killed militant is being confirmed, However, first reports showed they belong to a Pakistan-sponsored group active in the location.

This interaction comes just days after a high-profile operation on the outskirts of Srinagar that resulted in the elimination of three militants, including a key role thought to be the leader in this year’s fatal Pahalgam attack. That attack had led to broad indignation due to its civilian lives & was a stark reminder of the persistent threat posed by terror networks operating under many banners.

In a similar operation earlier, two militants were shot dead close to the Line of Control in Poonch while trying to infiltrate entering the space under Indian rule.
