The agricultural belt of the country is highly vulnerable during heavy rainfall. Paddy fields, vegetable farms, and orchards are getting water-logged, and storage layout for grains and fertilizers have got damaged due to water. Long-term economic losses are expected in coming months even.

Security forces are in a country of high preparedness.For rescue & relief efforts, NDRF and SDRF personnel have been positioned in vulnerable locations. Evacuation is being done in vulnerable location, and relief camps have been established in schools and community centers.
Chief Work groups led by ministers are coordinating with district collectors to track water levels in dams and rivers. Controlled releases from dams like Koyna and Bhatsa may have to be made if the situation is bad enough to prevent breaches, although this would make downstream flooding worse.
